Pavillon Mies van der Rohe
Der Pavillon Mies van der Rohe symbolisiert die moderne Entwicklung in Architektur. Ursprünglich war das Gebäude vom deutschen Architekten Ludwig Mies van der Rohe entworfen und anlässlich der Weltausstellung 1929 in Barcelona gebaut worden. Daher trägt der Pavillon auch den Namen „Der Deutsche Pavillon“. Nach der Weltausstellung wurde der Pavillon abgerissen. 1986 wurde der Pavillon nach den Originalplänen an selber Stelle wieder rekonstruiert.
Heute ist der Pavillon eine der bedeutendsten Arbeiten von Ludwig Mies van der Rohe. Seine innovativen architektonischen Strukturen markierten eine radikale Wendung in der Darstellung des Raumes und beeinflussten die Entwicklung der modernen Architektur.
Wenn Sie das Museum betreten werden ihnen die verwendeten sehr eleganten Materialien auffallen wie vier verschiedene Marmorarten, die Verwendung von Glas und Stahl.
Die Ludwig Mies van der Rohe Stiftung hat sich seit ihrer Gründung im Jahre 1983 zur Aufgabe gemacht das Wissen über den Pavillon zu bewahren und weiter zu geben.
Der Pavillon hat täglich von 10 bis 22 Uhr geöffnet.
Pavelló Mies van der Rohe
Pavelló Mies van der Rohe- A work that symbolises the Modern Movement. The building was originally designed and used as the German National Pavilion for the 1929 Barcelona International Exhibition, that is why the building is also know as “the German Pavilion”. After the exhibition the building was demolished. Given the significance and the importance of the Pavilion, the building was reconstructed on its original site in 1986 (Av. Today the Pavilion is one of the most important works of Ludwig Mies van der Rohe. Its innovative architectural structure marked a radical change in the layout of space and greatly influenced the development of modern architecture. When entering the building you will notice the elegant materials used such as four different kinds of marble , glass and steel. The Fundació of Ludwig Mies van der Rohe is in charge of conserving and sending out knowledge about the pavilion since 1983.
The pavilion is opened daily from 10:00 to 20:00 hours.
